Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Cape Town where your Uprise guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a cultural and historical orientation introducing you to South Africa and the adventures ahead.
Day 2
Visit the iconic Table Mountain by aerial cableway and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Town and the surrounding landscapes. Continue with a guided city tour through the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard, including stops at Company Gardens, the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and the historic Castle of Good Hope before enjoying free time in the city.
Day 3
Embark on a scenic Cape Peninsula journey from Camps Bay to Cape Point, taking in dramatic coastal landscapes and mountain views. Visit Boulders Beach to see the famous penguins, explore charming coastal towns, and experience the iconic Cape of Good Hope.
Day 4
Travel through the stunning Cape Winelands and visit Franschhoek, known for its beautiful vineyards and mountain scenery. Continue to Hermanus for a unique cultural dining experience with a local host featuring a traditional South African braai and local delicacies before returning to Cape Town.
Day 5
Take a ferry to Robben Island, the historic prison where Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid activists were held. Explore the island’s prison buildings, limestone quarry, and museum while learning about South Africa’s struggle for freedom and democracy.
Day 6
Depart Cape Town and fly to Johannesburg where you will check into your hotel in Sandton. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing, exploring nearby restaurants, and enjoying shopping in one of Johannesburg’s most vibrant districts.
Day 7
Discover the rich history and culture of Soweto through visits to important landmarks including Constitutional Hill, Mandela House Museum, Regina Mundi Church, and the Apartheid Museum. Gain deeper insight into South Africa’s journey through apartheid and reconciliation.
Day 8
Enjoy a full-day safari experience at Pilanesberg National Park, home to the famous Big Five animals including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and leopards. Explore the park with an experienced guide while taking in South Africa’s incredible wildlife and natural beauty.
Day 9
Explore Downtown Johannesburg and the creative Maboneng Precinct, known for its street art, galleries, and lively atmosphere. Visit the Carlton Centre for panoramic city views, enjoy shopping and local markets, and experience Johannesburg’s exciting nightlife.
Day 10
This morning you will head to Johannesburg International Airport where you will say goodbye to your Uprise guide and fly off with new memories to last a lifetime!
