Educational Travel

Since the inception of Uprise Travel, educational tours have been at the core of our business.

West Africa’s history and culture have long been a draw for universities and high schools from around the world. We work directly with teachers, professors, and international study coordinators to create tours that cater perfectly to your desired curriculum. From the moment a student signs up to the moment they board their plane home, we’ll be there to help.

Accommodation and classroom booking

You can’t be expected to sign off on your students’ accommodation from a computer on another continent. We’ll find you accommodations that suit your budget and keep your students comfortable, as well as classrooms with the tools you need to teach.

Logistics and transport planning

Minibuses? We got ‘em. Drivers? We have them too. Quit staring at Google maps, trying to figure out the drive time between two rural villages in West Africa, wondering if there is any place to stop for food. Leave it to the pros!

Safety and risk management planning

If you are planning the curriculum for a course abroad, you can’t also be expected to inspect vehicles, print emergency contact cards, vet drivers, buy a backup cell phone, pack a medical kit, and write risk management plans. That’s our job!

Pre-travel preparations and orientation

Not everyone has the support of a study abroad office or an international programs coordinator. If need be, we will engage directly with your students to provide support for visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, packing lists, cultural orientation, and beyond.

Community service coordination

Impactful volunteer tourism is very hard to come by. We maintain relationships with NGOs and schools in the areas where we work. Let us help you find an impactful service opportunity that works for you and the communities you will serve.

Homestays

Do your students need an immersive cultural experience? We can help you find the homestay option that is right for you. The last thing you want is for your students to end up in a bug-infested bed with a homestay mother that doesn’t care about them. Let us help!

"In the 15+ years that I have been leading school trips I have never found a leader I was more comfortable with than Eric Bragg. He is respectful, knowledgeable and has the ability to always make the group and chaperones feel comfortable in their surroundings. When planning a school trip I always ask for Eric to be my group leader if it’s possible."
